BUSINESS HANDSHAKES
In the business scene, physical contact does matter. The commonly accepted physical form of greeting is the handshake. Handshaking originally started from male combatants meeting each other, to assure each other that their meeting would be non-aggressive. (You could have seen General Pervez Musharraf offering handshake with our PM during the SARAAC Summit).
While kisses and hugs are taboo in the area of business, handshaking goes places. You are evaluated by the quality of your handshake. What is the proper form in shaking hands?
Individual differences in motivation and performance
Two dimensions of personality discussed by Broadbent (1958) as important sources of variation in performance were introversion-extraversion and stability-neuroticism. Extraversion was associated with decrements in performance over time and neuroticism was associated with greater decrements following stress. Although it is tempting to propose a single model to account for these effects, what has become clear is that the effects of personality upon performance require multiple levels of explanation. The broad dimensions of personality that are consistently identified from investigator to investigator and shown to be important in different cultures and different times affect behavior in many different ways.
GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF MOTIVATION
Basic principles of motivation exist that are applicable to learning in any situation.
- The environment can be used to focus the student’s attention on what needs to be learned.Teachers who create warm and accepting yet business-like atmospheres will promote persistent effort and favorable attitudes toward learning. This strategy will be successful in children and in adults. Interesting visual aids, such as booklets, posters, or practice equipment, motivate learners by capturing their attention and curiosity.
Choosing Colors for Your Presentation Slides
Introduction
Have you ever been at a presentation where you could hardly make out what was on the screen because the presenter used colors that made it hard to tell what was text and what was background? Have you ever done this in one of your presentations?
The choice of colors for presentation slides is one of the important decisions that must be made at the start of the process of developing your slides. Some organizations today dictate a template with corporate colors that must be used for all

03 June 2009 – A day of mix modes

Today is a mixed mode day. From Day, I was very much sick from morning. So I left the house after one hour than and notify Asma apa. I have reached office at 9.45 AM. Then I went to ITL for some technical discussion with Mamun vhai. And then go directly to the Training room for ECF training.
This is the first time ever in ASCENT’s wok history that I went to training instead of my sweet desk.
By the way the training was very good and almost successful. Shazzad vhai will not available for two working days, Bishwa Da to the server resetting work for him.
Suddenly, I found that there is storm outside of the office and it’s big. I am attached the images of the storm. I like rain, but storm, nope. Because it causes harm to poor people. L
Today, the AC connection of Nurjahan Apa’s room was burnt out. Every one scared for this. But thank god nothing happened.
I post several post in my Website today. It will help the Student of Human Resource in Bangladesh.
That’s all.

The Four Levels of Training Evaluation
Don Clark
Perhaps the best know training methodology is Kirkpatrick’s Four Level Evaluation Model
Level 1 – Reaction As the word implies, evaluation at this level measures how those who participate in the program react to it. This level is often measured with attitude questionnaires (smile sheets) that are passed out after most training classes. This level measures one thing: the learner’s perception (reaction) of the course.
